| This is another view of Boundary Road, this time looking south from the railway trestle just north of Kingsway. I have no recollection of actually taking the 1976 picture, but looking at it today I can only assume that I was more of a daredevil then than I am now. The trestle is used nowadays by Translink for the Skytrain, and I couldn't get anywhere near it even if I wanted to. I had to settle for a shot taken at ground level, standing in the middle of the road on a traffic island. (I'll bet you that the car parked on the right side of the road closest to the trestle is my ride - a white 1966 Plymouth Fury 4 door sedan that I bought for $600.) |
